Our Process

Here at ATX Renovations, we take your visions and transform them into reality. Even if you need a little help on the vision side of things, our design intuition is where we shine.

When you hire our professional team to complete a project for you, we’ll use a step-by-step process that’s easy, clear, and highly effective. This allows us to not only provide you with exactly what you’re dreaming of, but it also helps us stick to your budget and get your project completed by the desired day of completion.

At ATX Renovations, we use a design/build process that streamlines your renovation; we’re responsible for everything, from the initial interview to determine your priorities to the final walkthrough, so you’ll only ever have to call one number for updates and information about your project.

What to Expect at Our First Meeting

Each project is unique. Understanding what you need is crucial.

The following are some of the items we would like to discuss with you at our first meeting:

·         Describe your project.

·         What is your timeline to complete this project?

·         What’s your budget for the project?

·         Do you need help designing your space?

·         What is the style of your home?

·         Do you have any mood boards (Houzz, Pinterest, etc…)?

·         Will you be living in the home during the renovation?

·         Do you understand the complexities and uncertainties that go into a bid?

Developing a Fixed Price Proposal After Setting a Budget

Cost is s a crucial part of every remodeling project because everyone has a budget.

The most thorough estimate is always the highest priced estimate. Thorough estimates identify and plan for the many of the contingencies that can turn into realities. No client enjoys “Change Orders” but many potential remodeling clients have the expectation that the final cost will exceed the contract amount by as much as 50%. With our process that doesn’t happen.

If there is an indefinite aspect of your project, we’ll be upfront about it in our proposal. If necessary, we will include a “Discovery Allowance” with a labor allowance for uncovering those uncertainties.

Making sure all things are accounted for in your project proposal and reducing your stress is what we’ve learned in remodeling to make you a happy, satisfied client.
